Clonality | Polyclonal antibody |
Host | Rabbit |
Reactivity | Reacts with all species |
Tested samples | Rodent brain, adipose & spinal cord tissues, and spider brain tissues. |
Staining procedure | STAINperfect immunostaining kit A (protocols for cell cultures, whole mounts, tissue sections) |
Format | 50µL (approx. 40 tissue sections) |
A rabbit-derived polyclonal primary antibody that specifically binds noradrenaline (norepinephrine) with high affinity and specificity, validated using competitive ELISA. It shows minimal cross-reactivity with dopamine and normetanephrine.
This antibody has been successfully validated for immunofluorescence (IF) in mouse brain and spinal cord tissues, particularly in embryonic mouse pons (E13.5), using the STAINperfect™ Immunostaining Kit A. It has also been used to visualize noradrenergic neurons in spider brain (Jin et al., Nature Ecology & Evolution, 2023) and to detect norepinephrine in urothelial tissues (e.g., bladder mucosa) using IF.
It is supplied as a purified liquid polyclonal antibody in a 50 µL vial, sufficient for approximately 40 tissue-section stainings.
The antibody works in any species species. It was successfully applied to rodent brain, adipose tissue, spinal cord, and spider brain tissues. Notably, it's also been successfully applied to urothelial tissues in the bladder.
Use the STAINperfect™ Immunostaining Kit A, which offers optimized protocols for cell cultures, whole-mounts, and tissue sections.
The STAINperfect kit includes detailed protocols tailored for whole-mounts, cell cultures, and tissue sections. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for best results.
According to available protocols for ImmuSmol antibodies: store at +4 °C for short-term use (1–2 months), and aliquot and freeze at –20 °C for long-term storage. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Anti-L-Noradrenaline (NA) antibody IS1042 was validated for immunofluorescence in mouse brain and spinal cord tissues, in combination with the STAINperfect immunostaining kit A. This anti-Norepinephrine antibody was recently used to evidence noradrenergic neurons in spider brain (Jin et al, Nature Ecology & Evolution, 2023).
